Curious on what all of you think I will be available for in a few days when I can apply for a job.

I don't have a ton of D1 experience so I am curious what it takes to get to a good D1 school. Will I be able to apply to an A range school? I think I was qualified for B range Big 6 schools last season. However, I wasn't sure if you are able to jump from a school like Southeastern Louisiana straight to a good (A range) Big 6 school or if you had to have Big 6 school experience first.

Here is how my resume looks since I took over in Season 37:

Season        W-L             Rank          RPI              Prestige               Notes

Possibly an A range school, but I wouldn't count on it.  You may be able to get an A/A- baseline school that is struggling and is currently at B prestige or worse possibly, if there is such a school in your world.  You lack the deep postseason run(s) needed to really have those prime jobs open to you.  You have the career total wins going for you.  It'll be interesting to see...you should update this post so we can all learn from it.

those were my exact thoughts jdno...a good test will be if the Stanford job will be available to me. They are currently A prestige but they went 3-24 this season under a SIM. I will definitely update this post though

Well...it shows me as a 'step backwards' for A- Stanford with a baseline of A. I'm assuming that I would possibly be able to apply to an A or A+ school then. Good to know

That is good to know.  I'm kind of surprised that you're a SB w/Stanford, but I think what's giving you the edge is your 500+ career wins.  I've observed that once you win 300, 400, and 500+ wins, some doors are easier to open than when you have lesser wins.  GL at Stanford, and thanks for updating the thread.
