This is hard to read.  Could you edit it to put in the column headings?

Also, what are your college and high school scouting budgets?

harper. ez call is ez.

he's obviously better than the other pitchers, and none of the position players are on his level of eliteness

hardy would be pretty dope if he had super speed or switch hitting ability, just one extra quality to put him in harper's class.  but as it is he's just a real good defensive 3B with a pretty good bat, which isn't as nice as an elite SP.

Hard to read

Need to hear your scouting

However, assuming the scouting is good, having looked through them, I would lean towards drafting Harper despite signability issues. He's a #1-worthy pick. Not sure any of the others are. If he doesn't sign, you get the #2 pick next year and hope it's a better class. Marvin Harris 2nd choice, but understand that he's a LF, not a 2B.

i missed the signability issues.

i agree with jello anyway, roll the dice on him and if he doesn't sign hopefully you do better with #2 next year.

12m college 14 m hs scouting budget.Does everyone think that the gamble on Harper is worth it? Iam at the 2nd slot not the 1st would u take Hardy over Harris?

hardy and harris are pretty close imo.  i'd lean hardy because 3B is a harder position to fill, but i may be slightly underrating the value of harris's higher splits.

I would go with Harper... and you shouldn't be posting your ratings projections openly on the forums, giving information to others in your league that may not have ratings or accurate ratings for those players.

So Hardy over Harris but take P  Harper even though he says he wants to go to college? If Harper does not sign then what? No one would take Harris even with the split edge.

Agree that Hardy/Harris are close.  I prefer the guy with more star qualities at the plate in this case.  I also think Britton and Downs are on the fringes of this conversation as well.  Britton will actually stick at 2B, probably, and have good lumber for the spot.  Downs is my next favorite pitcher.  But really, non of the 4 screams "worth the #2 overall pick" to me.

If Harper doesn't sign, you get the #3 pick in next year's draft (in addition to the pick you earn based on this year's record), and you'll likely do better, and certainly no worse, than these options.  And as I said, I do prefer Harris but it's close.

draft Harper and who cares if he signs, next season raise your scouting. at the very least go higher with one lower with the other.

As I guessed, your budgets are on the lowish side.  List their current ratings, because several of those projected ratings seem "cooked".  who is Harper's agent?  If its his mom, drop him unless you're willing to take the 2nd ovrall pick next year.  If he has an agent, I'm fairly confident you can sign him w/ enough tries.  If/when he official rejects your 1st offer and says he's going to college, offer him again his original demand.  It may take 5 or more cycles of this, but eventually I think you can get him to sign, unless his mother is his agent, then I think he's likely to turn you down and not allow you to offer him again.

But, I'd want to see his current ratings first, as well as others, because he's likely not going to hit those ratings.

Health concerns me on Harris and Britton.

How do you know who is going to rep a player? Do all of you think that the Pitcher is so good that the gamble on signing him is worth it?
