In Pine Tar, which just wrapped up,
Ebenezer Brett just picked up his second Cy Young award in Season 17, at the ripe old age of 38. His first Cy Young came way back in Season 4, when he was just a lad of 25. That's an incredible span of 13 years between awards. To make the story even cooler, Brett suffered a torn labrum during Season 8, and was traded to me with the thinking his career was pretty much over with his suffered ratings and poor results; his career has had a second wind with my team and this Cy Young is the culmination of a late-career resurgence.
Anyone else have a player with a longer gap? I'm not talking about otherworldly guys who have won 10 Cy Youngs, I mean guys who had a true gap between wins where they won one at a young age and then again when they were much older.
