Deadball vs Modern Era in Playoffs Topic

Anybody come up with a strategy to beat a deadball team with a modern era team in the playoffs? Don't think I've ever pulled it off before and I've got a World Series showdown coming up. Hoping my '94 Maddux and '11 Kershaw will able to outduel his '09 Mathewson and Frank Smith

High average, high 3b/100 PA should work should work against deadball pitchers.


Maddux is good against anyone....

There are more ways to win now in OLs than ever before.  My most recent OL champ was a Petco team that had no key players from before 1922.  Rotation of 22 Donohue, 80 Haas, 2002 Pedro, 2008 Marcum.

I used modern low K/9 pitchers and high average high range position players to beat dead-ballers.
