How much different is D2 then D3?  I'm debating if I want to move up or not with one of my teams.

It's the same game, the ratings are just scaled up. There's also more opportunity to recruit nationally with the increased budget, but you're still better off staying inside the 360 mile radius. There's also the benefit of knowing that every coach has at least one season of experience. Very often a school gets picked up in a D3 conference by a new coach, and they end up signing 5 absolutely awful players, ensuring a 250+ RPI for at least another recruiting cycle.

I think it is easier to recruit, because cash is so limited at D3.  If you go after a player at D3 and they get taken away later in recruiting, you are less likely to have cash in reserve to go after another player.

On the flip side, recruiting in D3 takes more strategy. Allocating your assets is a much different game.

I prefer D2, but decide what you like. I recommend moving up, trying it out, and you can always move back down if you don't like it. But you never know if you dont try.

Similar in many ways.  Slightly more money, so more room for error and longer reach.  Better coaches in general are in D2.
