With a great deal of much needed help from Ash I think the concept and the execution of the concept have come together well enough to launch this league. The concept is to see who can use this roster and win a championship. The roster was designed to work like this - there are basicly 4 franchise type players, depending on your personal BB philosophy you can use the other players to build a team and coach it. Of course you can change things around as the season progresses using any combinations you choose.

i like the concept of this league. i will look over the other rosters you set up and make a decision. thanks, smokey!

- no one is gonna use debusschere.....and i doubt hawkins would get picked over bird/brand/wallace/magic at the sf spot

- you need to give us more pf/c options...most people dont even use brand at pf...they use him at sf

- i dont see how anyone who wants to win doesnt use all of big bens minutes...rebounds are the most important thing in the sim and he is far and away the best of the bunch...not to mention the lowest usage player

- ray allen is the only real 3pt threat...be tough not to use him



i hate to keep complaining...but i do like this concept and want to see it succeed....i would wait until ash gives you some more help before finalizing a roster....i also liked the option to pick from multiple rosters...that was kinda cool but i like it either way

So how many rosters do we now have from which to pick....1 or 2?

I fun league would be to have a lineup of sim poison to see who would be able to manage a lineup with:

I kind of favor having 2 or 3 different teams to choose from because there would be skill needed to pick the right team...even before you get to the player strategies. Just a thought.

Here's a thought- I'm not gonna drop a ten spot so someone else can select my team for me.

Oh, just great, now someone tells me Olajuwon & Ewing are SIM poison. Only been trying to get Hakeem to work for 1000 games and just put Ewing on new team. I'm off to dump Ewing asap. #*@#*&

Everyone, thx for your input. Looks like I'll be using 2 rosters, give me some time to work with Ash and come up with better rosters. I do like the idea and appreciate the input. Maybe towards the end of Jan we can finalize 2 rosters and get this idea off the ground.

I believe the idea of this League is to see who the best Coach is, and if that is the idea, doesn't having a 2nd roster defeat the purpose?

Scud, interesting, sort of like malones pyrimid league (which I like), but at the same time different. Moves away from the original idea a bit, but nobody's beating my door down either. Owners tell me what you think, I'm not going to shamelessly promote this league until late Jan, early Feb anyway. Thx a bunch Scud!!

Smokey,  Just some comments for your consideration... I like what you are trying to do but the downside of 24 teams having the same players for 82 games is kind of obvious. As the games go on, everyone will be tweaking towards the most successful teams and by the all star break most of the teams will be duplicates.  I may be wrong here but I think it will not take long to determine the best combo of players..especially when you have WIS simming essentially the same lineups twice a day.   However, with more than 1 team from which to choose, the tweaking towards equality is slowed and some owners can take consolation that they, at least, were able to pick the better of the 2 or more teams.  I realize the counter agruement will be that by extrapolating my comments you are actually going towards an open league with the thousands of players available.  We need to be somewhere in the middle...I think.
