yes, can for sure skip - I think - but others may know - especially if your qualfications are marginal OR if there are multiple applicants

not uncommon for the hiring process to take 24 hours.

if you were not qualified you would have received the rejection email in the next 3-hour cycle.

There are never any job changes until 24 hours in, to give everyone a day to apply.
