Boosters complaining? Topic

I"m  currently at 13-4. What kind of season do I need to get them to shut up?

I've never coached at that level, but the fact that D+ prestige schools are complaining with that good of a record doesn't seem right.

I don't know what team this is, but a PI bid can stave the off for a little while.

Yeah, that isn't right for E.Carolina.  I've got the same at Texas Tech, but at least there it is a Big-6 conference and makes somewhat more sense...

Its not suprising...he hasnt had one season with a double digit RPI and despite that has only had one winning season. Its conference USA, they wouldnt be happy with those results. In any case make the post season and they should get off your back. GL

I think the surprising thing here is that he's at Boosters Complaining after only 4 seasons at a non-BCS school. Although he hasn't made the post-season, he has increased his win total each season. Not too long ago in Knight, I'm pretty sure I went 5 seasons at Arkansas before getting Boosters Complaining with no post-season appearances. Not saying it's a bad change, but I think this might be a change in the firing logic from the last update.

I have my boosters complaining at LSU after only four seasons. I think its a good addition to the game to make the expectations a bit tougher. Anyone can manipulate win totals and lets be real here...4 seasons never had more than 16 wins and hasnt had an RPI below 165. There are two things to consider, 1) How will the boosters react if he bubbles the post season after no even being close the first four seasons.  2) At what point does he get canned?  If he doesnt make the post season for 6 or 7 consecutive seasons and is given the ax at a Conference USA school, I really dont have an issue with it.

The bigger issue I have, is guys at elites that hang around for 10-15 seasons without winning an NT game...its unacceptable...

I think the story here is very simple.  The label boosters complaining just means that you are one notch down the expectations scale.  The scale is exceeding expectations, meeting expections, boosters complaining and jeopardy.  You move up or down one notch for good or bad seasons.  There are special rules when you first arrive - I think you cannot go down in your first three seasons at a job if you win more games than the season before.  After that, you are at risk.  You can only be fired after you are in jeopardy and I think it usually takes further bad seasons to get fired from jeopardy.

so, looks to me like seasons 40-42 were protected as your first three

but, none of those earned you any upside - no meaningful positives in wins, postseason or rpi

so what happened in season 43?  16 wins which is okay, but not great, no postseason, weak rpi.  I bet that that season was bad enough to knock you down one step - which it did.

these steps only change between seasons so 13-5 wont make a difference right now, but I expect that a trip to the PIT - esp if you can win a game there - should knock you back up to meeting expectations.  A trip to the NT surely would.  What if you dont get to the postseason?  Now, that I dont know.  Lets say that you end up 18-8 in regular season and dont do enough in the CT to get to the PIT .....like what if you end up 19-9 with an RPI of 96 and dont get to the PIT?

thats hard to know.  I doubt that that a season like that will push you up.  I bet it will just leave you where you are, but it could push you down another notch.

I would think that a 18-8 season with say 100 RPI would keep you right where you are.
