I need an OF for next year.  Want a young guy.

I have JuniorSantos offered to me for EdSutton

Santos is going to be something like 45-60-67-80-55 with the bat next year.  Mostly will top out.  he plays efvery day, is healthy and has a nice COF range, glove and arm. Not great, but useable and cheap

Sutton is going to be something like 83-21-58-62-85 next year.  He could use a full AAA year, not sure i woiuld let him have it.  He's a CF and will get to 66 vR and 90 Eye.  an interesting player.  Only has a Durability of 67, however, so he's 2/3 (vR) player.

I have guys i could platoon him with who hit lefties OK.

If i didn't make the trade and if I kept Sutton down all year, I could use JasonDodson as my COF vR and platoon him with  SteveMartin  

I may make the trade.  What would you do?  What would you project Santos to hit next year.  I would guess something like .265-.325-.450....maybe a .770 (give or take) OPS.  Decent...and he free's up some cash.

Ed Sutton link doesn't work

You just linked Junior Santos 4 times.  That said, don't trade for him.  You may have to pay $1mil more than the league minimum (at most), but guys with those numbers are easy to find in FA.  Not worth giving something away for something that you can get for free.  I would put money on Santos being a .250/.305/.400 = .705 OPS guy.

Use Martin as a platoon; that sounds good.  But please keep Dodson in AAA unless there's an emergency.  He's just not good enough!  If he were left-handed, or had more power, that would be a different story.  Given the above options, you ought to use Martin, and search FA for a cheap vRHP platoon who either has an OPS of around .800 or super defense.

+1.  I wouldn't use any of the 3 non-Martin guys in this thread on any ML roster I've ever had.
