Distribution clarification... Topic

sorry for another distribution thread. ive read several of the past ones and im still trying to get my head around this...is distribution used to set the frequency of plays you want run for an individual player?...or is it how much you want an individual player to have the ball and possibly have a chance to score or set up somebody else? specifically, i guess im wondering about the point guard position. if i have a pg who has very high attributes in BH and PASS(i know that i dont currently), but maybe not very good "scoring attribute ratings"...would i still want to give this guy a high distribution so that he touches the ball alot and sets up my offense? thanks in advance for any input

If I understand distro correctly, it is purely how many shots you want the guy to take. If you set it at zero, the ball will still come to him, but he will usually pass it off to another player.

the current forum facts on distro IIRC is that once the engine decides the possession will end with a shot (as opposed to a TO or something) it determines which player gets the shot either largely or wholly based on their ratio of distro to the current total distro allocated to the players on the court. Some of that might be off, but I think that's the gist.
