His year's ERA is too high, but he'll settle down into a 4-ish ERA, maybe a bit higher. As a 5th starter, he's pretty good. How many teams throw a 5th starter with an ERA of 4?
I would schedule him right in front of a workhorse who chucks lots of innings. That gives you BP a break.
He's not better because of the control and he has two crappy pitches. If you have a backup catcher with a high PC, you might always catch him when throwing this guy. Good way to rest your #1, too.
Oops...I just checked. You don't have a high PC catcher on your roster. YOu'll have to put up with his lousy pitches.
