I don't want my opponent to know or others for that matter that I may be looking at another player in recruiting.  What if I give 8 Campus visits to a player before i offer him a scholarship.  The thinking is that maybe I can make good progress with him, without letting the opposing school know.  Next cycle I then throw a bunch more at him right before signing and a scholarship.  Good tactic????

Maybe I am missing something like oh, a player won't accept a CV without a scholarship.  Any thoughts??  Thanks

players can, and will, list you as a considering school if you've put in enough effort even without a scholarship offer.
I've had players consider for as little as 1 scouting trip.
They just won't sign without the scholarship offer.
