He's a Sim AI walkon, not that surprising that he's borderline functional. Sim walkons tend to be of a stronger caliber than their human-assigned counterparts.

At D3, I have kept walkon players due to their improvement freshman year.  May be due to somewhat more equal quality of the recruiting.
