If I had my way...
  • If a player declines an option, be it mutual or player, he should not be sitting in your free agent report asking for less money than he would have if he accepted the option
  • If a player is in arbitration, his long term demands should not be one year. Because, if I'm sitting there thinking "wow, should I arb him for $3.1M or sign him long term 1 year at $4M", it doesn't require a whole lot of thought.
