D1 school needs pulldown?? Topic

I have a recruit who says I am a back-up option (just like a D2 school recruiting a D1 prospect). I am a D1 school. How does this work. Must I hit him with scouting visits until he is considering me?

you got it. the c+ prestige takes you a level down from the higher prestige schools.

It was new to me 2 seasons ago also.  It took 40 scouting trips to get the guy to finally drop and I just about gave up but finally got him to drop and was able to beat out a few B schools.

Yea, it's different than a DII or III pulldown. Ive done 42 scouting visits and I'm still getting the back-up message.Ugh!
