I should know this already, but for some reason I can't find a post about it. Can you make it into the NT with a .500 record?

In Phelan right now, the USA South may send 8 teams to the National Tournament. Six are pretty much sure things, but two of these teams sit at 12-11 right now, and I am wondering if they end up at 13-13 at the end of the regular season, and then each win the first CT game but lose the second and finish at 14-14 can they get in? Their RPIs and the projected seeding are definitely low enough. I know if they finish 13-13 and lose the first CT game to finish at 13-14 they are out, correct?

A losing record isn't allowed but I believe a .500 record is acceptable

We're keeping our fingers crossed for those two teams. Getting 8 into the NT would be quite a feat. There are 3 SIMS in the conference, so that would mean 8 of 9 human coaches would make it.

By the way, for those of you looking for a great D3 conference in Phelan, the USA South has been #1 in conference RPI for at least 5 years, probably longer, and we have some of the best coaches in the game - come join us next year.

Does anyone know offhand how many are needed for the PI? My Georgia Tech team is 9-17 but has an RPI in the 70s.

for PIT its 42.5% winning % which means 12 games is often enough, but if you make it far enough in the CT you need 13. 12 in 27 or 28 games is enough, but with 29 or 30 games, you'd need 13. this translates as follows:

12 regular season wins - guaranteed eligible
11 regular seasons wins - need 1 CT win
10 regular season wins - need 3 CT wins
9 regular season wins or fewer - no PIT possible (13 wins would require a CT victory which would give an auto bid to the NT)
