How do PRO contracts work? Topic

Hey guys,

If you pick up a PRO contract for a guy who is under contract for S23 as well, do you pay their contract price for that year? Or just the ML minimum? Want to know before I make any pickups to bolster AAA pitching staff.
 The last thing I want to do is grab a pitcher who will cost me $3-4M while pitching in my minors.

Help?

If I understand the question, 327k is the most you'll be paying.   You could just sign minor league pitchers for your AAA team.
