So I just lost the title game in Tark with Rutgers.  Here is my history.  How on earth did my prestige go down?  I know i had a down year the prior year, but I sandwhiched that with final four appearences.  This makes no sense to me.

Send a ticket.  Something wrong with the math, there.  Could it be that the National Title year fell off the books?  If so, it has too much sway if being runner up isn't good enough to make up for a title 8 seasons prior.

Even with that, the fact that MB began the season at A+ despite the bad season by his standards, and now that it is the 2nd season on the list, meaning it holds less weight then it did the prior season, there's no way he should drop.

Definitely send a ticket...no way a runner-up finish nationally should drop prestige unless you were caught slipping C-notes to the officials during your pregame handshakes at the Final Four.

Heck, shouldn't they just hard code that a Final Four will never drop your prestige?  I don't care who you are... a final four should keep any fanbase happy.

what was the overall conference strength this season vs. last ?

WIS is pretty stubborn about  prestige.  When I had issues with it, I was told, "it's working as it should."   If you get them to change it, I'd be surprised.

Conference strength went down, but nobody else's prestige in the conference seemed to be affected by it that I saw.

doesn't seem right to me. does anyone know how draft picks really work? they affect the current season, but what about the next? ive heard they only last 1 season but don't know if thats true or even what that means - just  the current season, or 1 more? 

all im getting at is you did have 3 draft picks, then 0. so you may be looking at 0 draft picks right now as opposed to 3 last season. if that a+ is damn low and the a damn high, maybe that's the difference?

I seem to recall reading somewhere - and although I haven't clicked on that KB article like that B.S. response they gave, I'm pretty sure it won't be stated in there - that whatever incremental draft pick bump lasts only for the season just ending.

And in mbalding's case, the draft hasn't happened yet, so there's still a good chance he'll get the bump again back up to an A+.

Id send a note back saying "fk you very much.  Now tell me something I dont already know and explain why a championship game appearance results in a prestige decline."

Conference prestige is the only possible culprit.  Hence my continued thesis "Conference Prestige is Stupid".  QED.

I'm on the bandwagon, reinsel.  It's an evil thing that artificially affects team prestige that has zero correlation to the real world.  Get rid of it.

I knew they'd ignore you. WIS is so good about dealing with other problems but is very stubborn about team prestige.   There's probably not 10% of the coaches who like the way it's structured.
