ST and Player Dur Question Topic

As I understand a player's durability (percentage not the rating) declines with every batter faced (pitchers) and every inning played (hitters). Does the play in Spring Training count against a player's potential for the season or is it reset to 0 when the regular season begins.
Is there any downside to not playing your regulars during ST?

Yes, spring training counts towards regular season fatigue.

If you don't get your ML regulars enough playing time in Spring Training they can see a decline a ratings. Everyone has different thresholds, mine are low (15-20 at bats, 5-10 innings pitched), and I bunch it all at the beginning of spring so they can rest while my minor leaguers rack up playing time. And I know you didn't ask, but minor leaguers benefit not only from the extra playing time in ST, but also from working with your major league coaching staff.

ted, thanks...I knew that about the pt for minor leaguers. I get about 20 ABs for my regulars and 10 - 15IP for my ML Starters and 5 IPĀ for my BP. The rest goes to the minor league guys.
