I hate to say it, but your team is just going to be brutal this season. The shortest route to your team being competitive would be to just feed starts and minutes to the underclassmen that have high potential. You have actually done a decent job getting ATH & DE, but that would be more important to emphasize in a M2M defensive set, than in zone. Here are some thoughts:
- I would make the starting lineup out of your top ratings improvers: Conley or Rasmussen** (PG); Wnorowski (SG); Johnson (SF); Wright (PF); & Bundy (C). Mixon would still be assigned big distro and get 20+ minutes off the bench. Mixon will be more effective with fewer minutes. Lane gets shafted.
- If those underclassmen have big potential in DE, then you should switch to M2M. You would continue to play zone through the NC schedule, but practice M2M at 25 minutes for the rest of the season and start playing it during the conference schedule. Another important reason to consider this is that your REB will be god-awful next season. In a zone, your team will get wrecked on the boards, but might stand a chance playing M2M.
- With only 10 players and mediocre team stamina, you probably need to play fatigue settings at fairly fresh and slow it down (even if you stick with zone).
- Set Johnson & Wnoroski to zero on 3 point shots, but everyone else at -2. Wnoroski will get better 3pt shots playing the 2, than 1.
- Next season, try to get a C with REB that will finish at 90+ and ATH 65+ and a PG with BH & P that will finish at 80+ each. The only benefit to continuing to play zone is that you would be able to consider recruits with poor DE ratings that you would have to ignore in a M2M defense.
**The choice of PG is really all about which one has the bigger BH/P potential. If the are about even, then alternate their starts and see how they do.
I understand these suggestions are fairly drastic, but I suspect that this would give you the best result once your sophomores are seniors. If you hope to salvage this season, you'll ignore my advice. Good luck!
P.S. for my tastes redshirting a guy with a 3.66 HSGPA is probably counterproductive with any WE loss. I like to use it on players with poor HSGPA so that they have a chance to get to A or A+ by their senior seasons and I have a chance to give them SH minutes during the redshirt season without worrying about the opportunity cost too much. I doubt you could take it off and put it back on this point a get the WE back up, but I've never tried it this late in a season.
