Question on fatigue settings Topic

I'm looking for some information on fatigue. Do you guys normally set your best starters (or all your starters) to getting tired, or do you leave your whole team on fairly fresh, or do you do something else?

On one hand I think do the best players actually perform worse as they are getting tired (under the logic of this game).

On the other hand, maybe getting tired does not decrease performance enough to take out a star JR/SR or stud player when his backup is a freshman.

Anyways just looking for some ideas.

IMHO, a player's in-game performance is largely affected by fatigue only after he is designated as "tired". However, I think that fatigue plays a more significant role in FT shooting, especially once a player reaches the point of "getting tired". So, for me, it depends on the player(s) and how it affects the team's scoring consistency.

Normally, I set everyone to Fairly Fresh. If there is a big gap between my starter and his backup, I will move him to Getting Tired. You have to be careful when using the Getting Tired setting though because if your starter has really high stamina (90+) his backup may not get enough playing time. I have had complaints from backups that I have promised time to because my starter is playing too much.

I do believe that players play worse as they tire. Their chance of committing fouls increases and they are more likely to make TOs and miss shots. This is true at normal tempo and only increases with uptempo.

if I've got decent depth I'll go with FF for most starters. I will sometimes go GT on 1st backup if he backs up 2 spots - like say my 3rd best big backing both PF and C might get a GT so that the chances of keeping the rotation to him and the 2 starters is better...my thinking there is its the b/u and a fresh starter or better on the court most of the time.

These are about what I thought, but kind of wanted to confirm that others did the same. Thanks for the responses guys.
