Is it just me or does it seem like there are more commissioners bumping theme league adds than there are people joining theme leagues? Seems like in a 24 hr period, two people will sign up for a league, but you have 25 people bumping threads lol.

So true... I miss the good old days when you could fill two leagues in a day...

My guess is a significant percentage of "old" theme league players now play mostly progressives.

I generally play in one theme at a time, whereas 5 years ago I would have 7-12 always going.

Well, I'm bumping my theme -- LIVE DRAFT LEAGUE -- a lot because the live draft is scheduled to start this Monday.

Oh, did I just promote my league?  That was unintentional, I assure you!

A lot of leagues are whithering on the vine.  Participation in this site is probably at an all time low, which means some good themes and progs are having a hard time filling.

They certainly were a lot easier to fill a couple of years ago. The game itself is better than it ever was. But...

I got 5 owners on the first day I opened up my new league and none since, which probably means its a good league idea, just has more seats than butts to fill them.

I had 8 join in the first 2 days and nothing since.

I think TJ is onto it more than anything else... I started a new progressive not too long ago and filled it in one day (24 teams), and I've tried filling three themes since and one didn't ever fill, one I pared down to a 20 team league, and the other sat at 20 for almost two weeks before I got three signups today, so now I just need one more, but it's been about 6 weeks so far to get 23 owners in a league that is giving away $30-45 in prizes with no entry fees. In the past that would've filled in a couple of hours.

But the fact that I was able to fill a 24 team progressive in about 15 hours would suggest that most of the former theme league players have moved to progressives. I know I, like TJ, used to play 10-12 themes at a time, but now I only do 2-3, with 8-10 progressives and the occasional OL/CL.
