Carryover if you have no open scholarships Topic

I looked through the old threads for about an hour and did not see this discussed. I keep seeing posts about carryover when you go into recruiting with no open scholarships. Are people referring to postseason money earned or something else?

If you have no open scholarships you carry over 100% of your share of post season money (and anything you had left over from last season) to the next season

Thanks!

this CAN be a good way to set up a great recruiting class - on the other hand, having a zero season also creates some roster balance challenges

I still think that in a BCS conference a 6-0-6-0 would be great, problem is of course redshirting and EEs...

As a coach in a mostly SIM conference that makes approximately $253 in tournament money each year, I was hoping that there was more to it!

Its mostly useful in D1 and D2 conferences where the NT payout is much more.  I have a conference mate in D1 who will have $150k from 6 openings and 2 years of NT/PT money.

Oh, I am D1, reinsel. I'm just in a mostly SIM conference that sends only one team to postseason play.
