I like it though - my guy with 100 reb could then be almost 1 nonillion times better!

I would guess that its like 2-4% better or something. 

Probably there is some constant that is unknown to the true rating is X + R, where R is the visible rating and X is the constant.

dont know, but I am confident that other ratings also have an effect on his odds of getting a rebound

wouldn't you have to factor in ath as a multiplier to reb ability?  if the guy with 1 has a 20 ath and the guy with 2 has a 10 ath, now who's better??
