Since my bone marrow transplant, I have had some trouble sleeping. I live in an apartment, with relatively thin walls, and a 20 something year old hispanic covered with tatoos lives on the other side of my bedroom wall. He listens to music I can't stand, and the bass goes right thru the wall.
I asked him, as politely as I could to turn it off, and he did turn it way down, but the bass still comes thru and I just can't sleep. He plays this music until about 2:30 AM.
I bought an alarm clock with a noise making feature, hoping to drown out the bass with other noise I could sleep thru. No luck, the bass dominates every other sound.
So, in the dark, without my glasses, I fumble with this device, trying to turn it off. I do so, walk the dogs, and by the time I got back, his music was off, and I went to sleep.
Around 6AM, the dogs woke me up, they wanted to go out again, and I dutifully obliged. I walked for about an hour and fifteen minutes. When I got home, I found the alarm had gone off just a few minutes after I left. I must have set the alarm inadvertently while I was turning the noise off. It was a very loud and shrill alarm, and it had my neighbor banging on the walls. It woke him up!!!
Since then, he no longer plays music after 10 PM!!! And I can get some sleep!!!
