I have a team where my best reliever by far has 119 IP the default setting put him at closer available in the 8th, will that work or should I move him to setup with no closer? The only other guy I would consider is a lefty with 35 innings, pretty good but not great.

He'd probably be best suited to a set-up a role with a typical PC of 30 or 35, but that is a complete guess.  What is his IP/g?

it will work, if you have a reasonably good team and also uncheck the "use only in save situations" he should use most of his innings.

if you want a 2-inning closer he'll get more innings if you don't have any Setup pitchers, otherwise sparky might not use him in the 8th inning. He'll surely get his innings at Setup if hes' your best option or if you don't have any other Setup A, just set the others to setup B.
One thing I do if he's short on innings is spot start him at Tandem B. that way you can get more innings against key opposition.

Depends on who the pitcher in question is.

Also, if you want him to close the 8th and the 9th inning uncheck 'pinch hit' for the pitcher in the advance setting in the lineup card.
