Addie Joss. Some people love him for his value. Some people hate him because he’s so overused. This league will either be your dream come true or your worst nightmare. All pitchers in this league will be named Addie Joss. Your job is to design the perfect anti-Joss offense.

The salary cap will be $80M, and you must spend between $35-$45M on pitching. The only pitchers you can select from are Addie Joss’s 9 WIS seasons.  The remainder of your cash will be spent on an offense geared directly towards beating the tar out of everyone else's Addie Joss. You can use clones, any ballpark you wish, and any strategy you wish.  Waiver wire is fine for batters, but not for pitchers – unless you find a different Joss on the list that you want to use. No DH. Below average AAA can be used, but any AAA pitcher used must be renamed Addie Joss to keep in spirit with the theme. Anyone using a non-Joss pitcher will be disqualified. Please name your team in a way that somehow demeans Joss without being explicit or vulgar.

Once the World Series is over, I’ll make a post in the forums showing the winning offense. Hopefully publicizing a tried and true Joss-beating machine will make at least a small dent in his open-league success and therefore popularity.

I’m pretty open to changing any details as long as it stays within the spirit of the theme, however, I really want it to stay pretty close to open league specifications so our anti-Joss findings will be relevant in open leagues.
