Enough for the player to e-mail me if he drops down or do I need to call the player himself?

coach call is enough.  The coach will let you know if he will drop or not.

I don't think he's asking if the coach will let you know if the player IS a drop down, but if the player himself will email you and let you know when he DOES drop down.

I'd like to know this as well.  I've always called the coach to find out drop potential then called the player in the next cycle to make sure he called me when he dropped.  It'd be nice to know if that $10 player call could be saved.

Your assistant coach usually let's you know that a player has dropped.  Sometimes the player himself will let you know.  Regardless, one call is enough.
