Each season we get the email stating a limit of 6 players in a given class.  However I have just been able to redshirt a current sophomore even though I have 6 freshmen, which would lead to 7 sophomores the following season.  Am I missing something or is this a glitch?  (Not that there's necessarily a benefit to being able to do this)

You can't have more than six freshmen.  I don't think it applies to the other classes, although I'm not sure about JUCOS,  If you have six sophomores, are we allowed to recruit a JUCO?

you can't recruit into more than 6 but you can redshirt into it...

+1 dacj. In recruiting you cannot sign more than 6 FR players (but you can sign JUCO's if you have more than 6 open scholarships).

Everything else is okay. Redshirting to make the class bigger than 6 or signing JUCO's to the class.

I don't think that's true.  I'm 99% certain if you have 6 SOPHs you can't sign a 3-year JUCO guy.

this indeed is correct, but I think salag was saying you can sign 6 freshmen and then some jucos if you have more open schollies.
