Promised minute squestion: Topic

If I promise a guy minute sand realize he has no chance of playingthis number his freshman season. I think I can just leave him off the depth chart all year and then he has no minutes per game to complain about. I have found most guys don't ***** about dnps, but only low mpg. Yes it wastes a season of eligibility, but he will play a lot his jr and sr seasons. I don't want him to quit.  Is this correct? Has anyone else tried this?

I've had guys even accept a redshirt after I promised minutes in recruiting.

Then around 8 games they not only realize they aren't playing but also that they are redshirted.  I think his WE dropped around 20 points right after the initial email.  I rescinded the redshirt and gave him the minutes from that time on and his WE gained the 20 points back.

I think the DNP loophole was closed over a year ago.

the DNP loophole was indeed closed. He will now check minutes over all games...

This loophole was closed several months back (supposedly, I've never tried it myself so can't testify one way or the other) according to release notes and subsequent discussion on this forum.
