Lol I had to check that it wasn't just a dream when I found this guy. Well he does have 1 average category but close enough;) but he has a 21 WE... recruit him or no? his overall is less than 450 and Im at D2.. he's really a D3 guy but he has all highs and 1 average! recruit him or is the WE too low?

If you aren't going to play him, I wouldn't recruit him. His WE will prevent him from reaching the greatness his potential eludes to.

I'm sorry, it would've been so great.

if you recruit him; rs him (hopefully you get his iq up) and then play the $h!t out of him his frosh and soph years - if possible, start him to get the we up. hopefully, you can get his we up to high 30's by the beginning of his junior year, and then he can def start. minutes will help push along the improvement, even with a not so great work ethic.

if you're so sure you shouldn't recruit him then why did you ask for our opinions?

well i was 99% sure not to get him just his potentials were so enticing that i just had to raise the question haha.. never know if anyone had any little tricks to get WE up without starting a player;) lol although I'm sure thats not possible haha

Personally what I would do, is focus on a few of those areas and ignore others. When WE is that low it's tough to get substantial gains if you try to put 10 minutes into everything. The obvious tradeoff is that you defeat the purpose of recruiting a guy because he's high everywhere if you don't try to improve everything. I think you run this risk if you try to improve everything of no area getting to the point where it's a good rating, whereas if you focus on just a few areas you can get those areas to that point with a RS.

I'd recruit him and throw a redshirt on him.  Give him that extra season to improve.  Even with a low WE like that, the extra season will allow him to get pretty close to his max in most of the categories.  He might not hit all of them, but you should end up having yourself a nice player.    Maybe you'll decide that you don't want to move to D1 after all, or maybe it turns out that you don't qualify.  Be nice to have a player like that.  Besides, even if you leave, the next coach that comes along ends up having a "potentially" (pun definitely intended) great player.

If he's got all high categories, and his starting ratings aren't too low, there's really no good reason NOT to recruit him.

recruit him, start him, and practice more the minutes in his cores (LP for post men) rather than waste LP minutes on a guard...for now
