I just took over a team and have opportunity to get rid of a big contract,but he won't except trade . Any tips on getting him to accept a trade ? Or am I sol...thanks

It's not likely, unless he wants a particular team.  If you're trying to trade him a team that's not as good yours, your most likely sol.

Your team won 81 games last season.  You should be able to trade him to a team that won more games last season.

After 27 games into the season, then he would need to be traded to a team with a better current season record.
