Verynice, I am interested but curious how the league works. I take it all of our draft picks (less the wildcard) must be from the same team. Does each person pick a single team or is it a free for all leaving a possibility of 24 NYY teams for example?

no, you must take 25 different players from different teams. ie ruth from yanks means you may not select any more NY yankee players, then williams from Boston Redsox, no more Bosox, walter Johnson from senators could be your WC, then no more WC players. Basically its a team built from 24 players from diff teams that are same city and team name in the standings today and 1 player from a team not in standings, ie montreal expo or a milwaukee brave and so on.
see list of teams above as a checklist when choosing...remember it has to be same city and team name regardless if franchise changed. there was early baltimore orioles that changed to yankees (that would count as your Baltimore player) also there was an early washington nationals team, you may take those players as a nationals player

I am interested in this but have never been a league where we draft people.  How does the drafting process work.  also in the example above if i take babe ruth 1920 can nobody else take ruth 1920 or can nobody take ruth any year.

nickbalz drafting works like another other open league and people can have copies of other players from the same year like one person who drafts one team with 20 ruth it doesn't matter someone else drafting another team can draft him too
