I just took over Birmingham Southern in Tark, and it looks like it has a serious claim to the title of Worst D1 Program in all of HD.  Not only has B-S managed only 586 wins in 68 seasons for a pathetic .315 winning percentage, but they're 50 wins behind the 2nd worst team in Tark.

Still, that's not what makes their failure so epic.  They've had only 5 winning seasons in 68 tries. They've never had a 20 win season. They've attained double-digit conference wins only once. They've never had an RPI in double digits (their best is 106). And in 68 seasons, they've never made an NT, never made a PI, and never even won a conference championship. 

68 seasons, and the "Notes" category in their team history is completely blank.

I can only see the three worlds that I'm in.  Is there a D1 team out there with a more impressive record of futility than Tark's B-S?

I checked my worlds...the first five plus Crum,  and couldn't find anything close.  Good luck!  With your first winning season, they'll name a street after you!

Best I can do is Southern Utah in Iba is a lifetime .332, but they've slipped up and had a couple conference championships, not to mention that folks around Cedar City sit around the coffeehouse and talk about that one magical season back in 23 when all the stars aligned and they pulled off a PIT berth and finished the year ranked 22nd under Sim AI for their only postseason glory. 

is that why you took them over?  to try the complete turnaround?

Brown in Crum might not be quite as bad, but I feel they deserve at least a mention.  Their record is spoiled by one PT and one really wacky improbably NT game(Won the CT in a year where they finished the season 8 - 23 and 2 - 14 in conference)  More than half their seasons over twenty losses, 31 seasons with single digit wins out of 53, three double digit conference win seasons, only four winning conference records, and an overall record of 30.4%, and 77 losses in 53 seasons behind the next worst.  Not as bad, but at least deserves an honorable mention, right?
