and why is he on top of all my dynasty lists? 10 straight elite 8s at st johns, that is incredible (old d1 record is 8 by lostmyth). does he have another ID id know? does he post on the forums? i am not sure ive ever seen his name before.

also, 20 year d3 dynasty, i peeked down expecting, neigh, knowing, narcotico would top the list. but hes #2, to xulapaul. does he have another ID? i would expect to have at least once seen the name of the coach of the current reigning dynasties in d1 and d3. guess ive been living under a rock or something. actually xulapaul seems kind of familiar i think ive seen that name, but no idea when/where.

anyone know how many championships they won there or anything? i can pull it out of these dynasty rankings somehow, but its not easy, so would appreciate the info. one thing ive wanted to add is a view team, where it would pull up their info, same with a conference, preferably with some data on where they show in the rankings (which is a pain, none of those rankings happen at the same time. they could, but they dont, and even if they did, none of that stuff is saved, its just dumped out and then thrown away). but really its been so long, would probably take me hours to put that together, and recruiting is starting tomorrow so i don't want to do it now.

You didn't pay enough attention in rupp. He has been there forever. I believe jake has the one team and likes it that way cuz he doesn't get burned out. He is active on his conference board, but not much in here I don't thnk. Still has succes at D1 with FCP too.

no way - thats 10 elite 8s playing FCP? the best d1 team is still best served using FCP IMO, but no way, no how, is that the best defense for consistency, especially with all the early entries and stuff in d1. at least, i didn't think so. very interesting.

WOW. i followed your name to the big east to find his team. that is an incredible history there. im very curious to see how he stacks up for all time d1 dynasties.

Yeah, jake marley is probably the best coach we didn't know about. The Unknown Legend.

xulapaul coaches Beloit in Wooden D3... one of the elite programs. I'm just in my second year in Wooden, but he has four national championships in the past nine seasons and has been there since season 22.
Also coaches St. Anselm in Rupp DII.

that is amazing, i didn't realize he was a member of wooden d3. i don't remember the number/name correlation of worlds im not in. but wooden d3 has long been considered the best d3 in HD. for him to pull that off there is really impressed. 3 titles in 5 years, 4 in 9, 6 straight final fours, those are all pretty close to record setting figures. damn impressive. will have to look for him on the all-time lists too, when i post them in a bit here.

wooden d3 has always had one or two coaches that seem to dominate for several seasons, then another coach rises up and takes their dynasty to the next level. camrun dominated during the teens through the early 20's; myself and fairbanka battled for supremacy during the 30's; adambrag won 4 titles with thomas during the 40's (still wish he hadn't left d3); xulapaul has matched adambrag with 4 titles durinng the 50's. now you have killbatman @ rpi and ike1024 @ hamline trying to take the baton from paul. the competition in wooden d3 is always evolving but two things are certain: upstate is the top conference and beloit is the top dynasty.

For crying out loud, I do not belong in the same breath as any of those people.  Two lucky seasons does not a dynasty make.

I wouldn't say that he was unknown, he just doesn't get on the forums much, if at all.  I'm sure that there are quite a few coaches who know who he is.  Hell, I'm only at D2 in Rupp and I know who he is.

im sure there are, he looks like one hell of a coach to me. kind of hard to miss him, if you are playing there, i'd think :)
