Does anyone know how the conference alignments are determined in D1 HD? Is it possible for colleges to move between conferences or has it always been static? Just wondering after seeing all the recent movements in real world college athletics..

First of all, each conference is limited to 12 teams.  This is for ease of scheduling, primarily.  So, in the beginning, some teams had to be moved out of their natural conference.  For fun, I tried to see if I could make a better fit.  It's much more difficult than it may seem! LOL

Moving between conferences isn't allowed. It wouldn't be fair for a school in a lower prestige conference to be moved into a better one.
