What happens if you agree to a trade with a guy that has not yet been offered arbitration? Does the deal get voided or does the AI just offer him 70% after the deal goes through?

Simmy arbs non-arbed players on rosters at the deadline.

So... a deal is reach between Team A and Team B before the end of the arbitration day. Team A is dealing a guy that is arb eligible but he didn't offer arbitration. Team B is dealing a guy that is arb eligible but he didn't offer arbitration. Will the deal go through or be voided?

Sounds like simmy will offer 70% (?) of arb demands for anyone who is left when the deadline rolls around. So, to answer your question (again), it will go through. They will both be offered ~3/4 of their demands and then be traded.

It'll go thru and both will be offered 70%. But if you want to lock them up long term, the current owner can do that still for you and vice versa. If the attn guy you're getting is a 3rd year arb guy you might be best locking him up if you have future plans for him

Once a trade is agreed to, contracts can't be negotiated & changed. That automatically voids the deal.  It can be resubmitted.  No real harm before the season starts.

I'm not sure if this applies to an accepted arbitration offer, either made by a GM or by Simmy.  I know it does to player/GM contract offers.

Arbitration is different.

If the trade won't go through until after the arb. deadline, you can ask the current owner of the player being dealt to offer $X or sign long term, or whatever.  Assuming they're decent people and are on in time, that is.

Won't affect a thing.  I've done it dozens of times, on both sides.

Curious about this situation:

Team A has an arb-eligible guy, wants 9M. 
Team B trades for the guy.
If the trade is set to go through AFTER arb's done, I understand that Simmy will offer 70% of the arb amount (or Team A could beat Simmy to the punch and offer a different amount, or extend the player.)

What happens if Team A has only 1M of player payroll available?

Arb guys will get signed regardless payroll. Team A will show his payroll as 109m for example, with a cap of 101m. Until the trade goes though. Then he's back at 100m payroll. 

Oh, that's good to know!  Is he able to exceed his payroll to offer an extension?
