I believe it does, but maybe changes the chance from 50% to 70%....its not huge.  BUT if he does go juco it helps sign him next year.

I have never seen any indication that it helps, but obviously I'm in the minority. Reinsel is definitely correct about it helping quite a bit during the next recruiting session if you choose to pursue him.
