So you take a guy and sign him as a free agent, thinking/hoping he will give you 150+ solid innings out of the pen.  He has a good track record and you are also putting him in a pitchers park...and then he starts the season killing you.

He's not that good.   He's not 6.43 bad but he was used sparingly in Boise.  I'm guessing he had a low PC so in game fatigue never hit.

He should be able to carry a 3.30 ERA with 150 IP in Seattle no problem.

With his control, vR and groundball,  P1, that is well within range in any world I would imagine.

Looks feasible as long as lefties are not allowed to bat against him. Hard to get 150 IP and $15M in value as a RH Specialist though. I'd think his AVG vs. RHB comes down, but vs. LHB is going to remain .300 or so. In a role likely to have him coming in with guys on base, that's not a good thing.

I'm gonna have to agree with Mike on this one. I see him around 1.35 whip or so. He's not as bad as he is doing now, but it's not like he has a ton of innings pitched this year. I'm chalking it up to small sample size.

Yeah I don't expect 100 IP with a 2.25 ERA.  Was looking to get 100 IP with 3.50, which would do what I need.  But so far he is not doing it.  Maybe he is nervous pitching for the Defending Champs.

The guy's had two horrible outings, where he gave up 9 ER in 2 IP.  Take those two appearances out and the guy's got a 3.71 ERA.  Small sample size is always going to skew relievers stats if they have a few horrible outings.
