Best Triples Hitter-- 2011 Shane Victorino? Topic

Is 2011 Shane Victorino now the game's best triple hitter?  His performance history shows an average of 27 triples over only 624 PA.  In comparison 2007 Curtis Granderson hits an average of 30 in 710 PA.

Lance Johnson put up a ton of triples for me before, I think it was his '96 season.....Bake McBride was the fastest player I ever saw running out a triple...Willie Wilson and Willie McGee rank up there too....

My research is below.

I think Victorino is about equal to Granderson because Victorino e a switch hitter and a better real-life home-run hitter.

Was Victorino only used twice?

Are you sure that Davis guy at the bottom of the list isnt 1893 George Davis?  Has anyone used that guy, he looks like an animal.
6/25/2012 7:26 AM
I think there is a Harry Davis who used to be a triples machine.   Before they turned down the park effects he used to be a lock for 35 or so triples a season.

Willie Wilson is the fastest player I have ever seen. Just look at his career inside the park home runs.

and the gw inside the park homer vs the yankees. just sick.

What I learned in this study was that deadballers really underperform for trips.  Also switch hitters out perform lefties or righties.
6/25/2012 10:49 PM
84 Dave Collins and 2001 Juan Uribe?  Lower PA is the 2009 Andres Torres who hits a lot of triples in parks like ATT and Petco

I dont think this is true, but for some reason I keep thinking that switch hitters hit right handed hitting better than lefties.

You are confusing the sim with reality.
