Rupp World Job Change Request Topic

I am considering moving from the weakest Conference in Rupp. It is SIM dominated with some weak teams & terrible SOS's & very little Tournament money generated by 1 or 2 other coachs and my team. I'm considering moving to a stronger DIII Conference or a DII job with some potential.

If you are planning on moving from a DIII job or a DII job, could you possibly send me a site mail to let me know about the potential opening.
It is possible I might be interested in the position and would help you fill it for your conference. All  site mails will be confidential. Thank you in advance, if you choose to share information.

I would recommend the D3 University conference if you want a challenge.  They have one open spot this season -- not sure if anyone's reserved it for next season.  Rupp has become a great world for D3.

Thanks Jack. If anyone else has some information on a specific team, site mail me if you like.

Seriously, how hard is it to look at the top 5 or 6 conferences in D2 and D3 in terms of RPI and look at the open teams to see if they look interesting?

Wake up on the wrong side of the bed, dahs?  He's only got a few seasons under his belt.  Cut him some slack.

coachvegas44, personally I think you should just join one of the top conferences like the University or maybe the So Cal, but if you're going to look for a specific team you'll probably want to wait until the season rolls over and see who left a school in good shape.

And now that I look, La Verne in the So Cal might be the best of both worlds if no one has reserved it yet.

Thanks jack.

What's anybody going to sitemail him that he can't see himself?  It's just lazy...  "Sitemail me info about teams in a world I'm already in so I know where to move to!"  If you're too new to figure out what team to go to, frankly, most of the top conferences aren't going to want to advertise themselves to you.

dahs, you need to ease up and relax a little bit. Why so harsh? Something constructive once in a while won't hurt. These forums are for communications,

I think you missed the point of the topic. I have done my  research on all the SIMS available. I thought it might be beneficial to everyone to communicate about job openings when  they actually  start. Many times during the job process coaches who are leaving a job or someone in the conference solicits for a human coach to replace the one that's leaving. I was just trying to communicate when that starts happening.

It's unfortuate that you are so offended. Sometimes you seem to lack patience for newer coaches who are in the learning curve. If you don't like the thread do like most do and just move on from it. This kind of negative aggression is not condusive to keeping new players around. Again, didn't mean to offend you so bad. I'm done talking about it. I hope ypu are too! Good luck with your teams.

If you read the forums on the regular basis you would recognize that I offer responses to questions from other coaches about as much as anybody else on here.  Obviously I don't know as much about the game as many coaches, but I am generally willing to share anything I've figured out/studied.  Your characterization of me is ridiculous.  I'm sorry I apparently missed your point, and frankly this line - "If you are planning on moving from a DIII job or a DII job" -  must have gone right past me.  I'm sorry for jumping on you.  But seriously?  Pick someone else to lecture on constructive posting.

When are jobs coming up in your world?

Coachvegas,

I'll reiterate jackduck's earlier comment. The University conference has three current openings: Southwestern (definitely needs rebuilt), Stillman, and Centre (both were solid last season and have 7 scholarships open.)

Worth looking at! UAA was #2 in RPI last season and put 7(?) in the postseason.
