Revocable waivers Topic

Dont let teams waive their entire teams in an attempt to "hide" players they want to clear waivers.

In Mantle, we have a world rule . . . no more than seven players per team on the wire at any one time after the trade deadline.

Its a good rule.  Should be universal.

We can look into having a limit.

Pretty sure something like this would not fly in real life.

The owner in Mantle who originally proposed this indicated that seven was a limit that MLB uses.

I've been unable to find any information that either confirms or denies that.  But our world voted and adopted it as a private world rule.

Sometimes it doesn't float in real life because of the repercussions of what might happen.

If you claim a guy who isn't on revocable, you get to pay him.   In HBD, you get a notice that he puts you over the cap.  So, essentially, you can block claims with immunity if you're cap-tight.    Not that I would do that or anything.
