Rebounding...cant figure it out. Topic

I don't know why my SFA team I. DI Stark isn't rebounding more.....specifically against a weak schedule. I would under stand if the teams I were playing were more athletic and had higher attributes in REB, but most of my competition simply does not.

Any thoughts out there?

I have a PF Pete Allen who should be light guys up on the boards :)

Thanks,

B

You are already out rebounding your opponents by 5 a game. Also press tends to have lower defensive rebounding rates than the other two defensive schemes.

He's getting 20% of your total rebounds and 18% of your offensive rebounds...in only 65% of your teams minutes.   I'd say he is doing reasonably well.

Allen is getting so many rebounds because he is playing when Allen is not in and against other teams weaker rebounders...less competition from his own team and the others.   Also, since his time is against backups (it would seem) his low ATH isn't hurting him as much.

If any one player is getting 65% of your team's minutes, poor rebounding is probably the least of your problems.

I agree completely with blackdog and will add that to have a team with dominant rebounding numbers you would need to have guards with better rebounding than the two you have starting.

Thanks....that helps a bit.  Still got out-rebounded by a horrible simmy 35-26 this afternoon!
