Do I need to win to get to A prestige? Topic

My Villanova team...B+ baseline, a few EE's over the last 4 seasons, will make sweet 16 if I beat Boston college. Do I need to win?

Yes, I would confidently say yes. In fact, I think you might have to win the following game as well to get a prestige bump. Burkley should be drafted highly though so who knows.

whelp, i lost so i'm 90% sure I'll stay at A-. Too bad, would have been a nice case study.

Related question, which helps prestige more (assuming both help), having EE's declare or just having SR's drafted highly?

I was just at A- with West Virginia with 27-5 lost in the Elite 8, ranked #6 with a 3 RPI and stayed at A-. So chances are even if you won you had work to do to get to an A. I'll end up at an A because I had 2 EEs who should be high draft picks and another senior who could sneak into the 2nd round, but I was very surprised that that season didn't get me up to an A.

I think the days of A and A+ for everyone in the conference at the Big6 level is gone ... good riddance

in 17 SEC seasons I never got above A-.  The days you speak of don't exist.
