MOFO (Modern-Era Original Franchise Organization) is now entering its 16th Season. This single progressive started in 1994 when the World Series was cancelled and all MLB players became Free Agents (or did you miss that?) and teams were contracted down to the Original 16 Franchises.
Well its 2009 and we need new owners to take over for San Fransisco, who won the NL West in 2008 and Draft #13 in the first and all subsequent and AAA rounds - and Detroit Tigers, who finished last in the AL East in 2008 and Draft #7 in the first round (Lottery for the Eight #3 and #4 teams) and #1 for the 2nd and all subsequent and AAA rounds. Atlanta drafts # 8 in the first round, and fifth in all subsequent and AAA rounds.
There are 25 MLB Roster Players and up to 4 AAA players (Two days of Two AAA Rounds per day). You can keep up to 25 of your 25 MLB and 4 Drafted AAA Players going into the next year. You can only play drafted AAA players.
We have a DH and 4 Divisions of 4 Teams. There is a Balanced Schedule.
When we catch up to the current "Real Life" MLB season, then we will start to draft 1981 Players (the previous work stoppage in Baseball), but all active players can continue playing until they either retire or get dropped -- so have no fear if you are trying to compete in the future!
