Have a PG with the following stats:

A: 79 (black)
S: 40 (red)
R: 1
D: 77
SB: 1
LP: 40 (still blue)
P: 14 (black)
BH: 23
P: 19

Was hoping that the speed would make it to 50 so he could play some SG. As it is, I don't know where to play him. He's too slow to be a PG or SG and he can't rebound at all, so SF and PF aren't good fits. Still, with the athleticism and the LP, I think he's going to score a lot and obviously he can defend.

So, what do I do with him?

the only position he could play is SF, but i think it would have to be limited minutes with low to moderate distro.  he can't handle the ball or pass the ball and is going to be a turnover machine.  better to just put him out there and let him defend.

SF is the only option, and he could work as a decent SF eventually - though the lack of REB at that position hurts, and the lack of BH/P will mean that he will be a turnover machine. Still, he'll eventually score effeciently (when he's not turning it over) and defend well.

I don't mind SFs who don't rebound exceptionally well.  With that athleticism he'll rebound some, and as long as you have decent-rebounding posts and/or at least one guard with 30 REB or so you'll be more than fine.  What I don't like is the BH/Pass - I try to avoid playing SFs with less than 40/40.  That said, I think that guy can give you decent minutes, probably off the bench although I might start him against teams that have great-scoring SFs.  Even in the press a great individual defender should be able to help a little bit in that regard...

What about playing him at PF with strong rebounders elsewhere? I think the BH issue is less important in the post.

I guess the issue is that he'll get abused by other PFs bc he lacks any SB.

Incidentally, the game should allow for cross-matching (e.g. allowing me to play him at PF on offense and SF on defense)

I wouldn't worry about the SB really. I'd play a guy with bad rebounding at PF in a pinch, but I don't think I'd play a guy with a 1 REB there. And the LP isn't good enough to justify poor rebounding there anyway.

The LP is going to end up in the 60s, which, combined with the A (which will end up at 85 or so), should make him a pretty good scorer.

Based on this thread, I'm going to have him back up at SF and PF and see what happens.

I really don't think putting him at PF is smart, but that's just me.
