basically it's speed and defense vs. passing.... which one would you hold higher priority to start?

I like #1.  A lot of people underrate the value of that much additional passing at PG.  Don't be one of them.  Maybe against a team with a great-scoring PG you could go to #2, although the exact relevance of that change in a press is questionable...

I agree with Dahs, #1 is the better point. #2 would make a nice SG though.
