Argumentative Manager setting Topic

Something I've never really thought about too much before: the Argumentative Manager setting. How much difference does this make? If you have players with bad temper ratings, does an aggressive Argumentative setting allow your manager to take the brunt of the ump's wrath, so your hothead player can stay in the game?

From the help guide: For example, if you set your manager's argumentative rating to a five he is highly likely to contest a call at a pivotal point in the game. In this case, if he argues the call his players immediately receive a ratings boost for that half inning. However, if he is ejected, the bench coach must take over for the remainder of the game. Bench coaches use the default neutral managerial settings. Also, having an argumentative manager will increase the player's temper rating.

I see no good reason not to have it at 5.

How about, you don't have to care about (and thus spend money on) the strategy rating of your ML bench coach?  I usually sit at zero and either (a) try to match my bench coach's ratings to the youngest players on my major league roster, or (b) go really cheap at ML bench coach.

I also go cheap on my bench coach, but they say that your settings to to default, no matter what... so I'm not sure of the value of paying for any particular amount of "strategy".

The half-inning boost at a key juncture of the game can't be a bad thing, and that seems like a small price to pay.  To me, anyway.

There are various examples of managers getting ejected, then bench coaches bringing in Pitchers to play SS, and wifs explaining it is because a BC was in charge.

I've never seen this, but then again, I've also never complained about a substitution to Admin.

I will be honest, I dont read my boxscores close enough to even see if it ever happened to me. I just remember an incident like this happening and it being talked about here.
