Hell no...

Since Gibson was released, there is no trade. Issue is moot.

Why did I leave Hamilton?  Oh, yeah, now I remember.

FWIW, goes thru in both worlds I commish.  BL talent/BL talent.   Was it "even"?   No, of course not.   But someone loses every deal.
8/26/2012 6:46 PM
However, to be fair to brian, that deal doesn't go thru in Hamilton.   A precedent has been set where deals must be closer in actual talent.   That's due, in part, because Hamilton allows less experienced owners to join and certain owners, yes brian, I'm looking at you, can't wait to screw them over.  So, if the procedure is "fairly even trades", it has to apply to all owners.

I can see why both guys would want to make the deal but if others cannot make these type of deals then othesr should not be allowed either.  Especially if the ppl involved are vocal about vetoing similar deals.

Precedent is precedent.   Even if the guy complaining it the guy who caused it.

Except that that isn't why Brian vetoed it. Very early on he said i was not allowed to move those contacts, that i was stuck with them and that was my fault.
8/26/2012 8:23 PM
And not to mention, i got the second best player inn the deal AND dumped off 40 million of salary fire each of the next three seasons.

To insinuate that there has actually BEEN a trade like this in Hamilton would be pretty inaccurate, as well

Salary is irrelevant in Hamilton.   The ability of the players is GROSSLY disparate.

The trade was agreed to before budgets were set. They were set with making that trade in mind. Because of the veto, Gibson had to be released, or an ace starting pitcher would because of arbitration demands. Couldn't bring back both.

No I said if no else can make these trades why should you be able to?  I also said since you were vocal to veto similar deals this is another reason to veto this deal.  You need to live by the "rules" you put into place.  I did say its your fault you have those contracts no we should not bail you out for your mistakes if others are not allowed to do the same.  And you got arguably  the worst player in the trade.  You may need to learn how to evaluate players im not an expert but if I played as many seasons as you id hope I knew wtf I was doing by now.

Ok then. Strongly disagree that salary has been deemed irrelevant.
