The first one.

He's where he needs to be, whereas the other one seems to be great at things he could be solid at and vice versa.

But then again, what do I know? I'm still trying to grasp what ratings are important here.

Depends on depth, imo.  Though it depends on a lot of things.  Generally speaking, the first one is probably better.

With less depth, I'd actually prefer number two, solely because he's a very solid passer who can stay out on the court longer.

Nonetheless that 97 spd to 83 spd difference is a very big one.  The ATH difference is also pretty substantial as well.  All in all, I like number two quite a bit because of his significantly better passing, but his pass rating just isn't quite high enough to make up for his lack of ATH/SPD and his lesser DEF as well.  And the 61-66 BH difference just isn't enough to matter either.  It's tough to say though, because ST can be a pretty big factor, though I usually like starting my guards with 75 STA or higher, and guard 1 does meet that cut-off.

it might depend where the other guy goes, but just strictly assuming you only get 1 player or the other, and they will be your starting pg... i'd take #1. i mean unless u had no backup pg and it was like, this guy or a walkon, then that 88 sta might win out... but assuming you have a decent backup pg (like a solid fr or decent soph, or something), i think its #1 by a solid margin. i'd love to know the per involved though :)

anyway, #1s got 9 ath, 14 spd, 11 def, that makes him a much more desirable defender. in terms of ability to run the point, pass is obviously #1, and then probably bh, then spd, then ath. so with 10 pass and 5 bh, vs 14 spd/9 ath, #2 probably has a relatively small edge there - the defense difference is much more important IMO.

and even not knowing reb/lp/per/ft, #1 has more going for him both on offense and rebounding.

of course, the 10 stamina will makes #2 play a little longer, but i think #1 is a lot better on defense, and that is very important IMO.
